Many countries enjoy visa-free entry to South Korea for up to 90 days. Check your K-ETA eligibility before you travel.

  • Most participants enter on a C-3 visa (up to 90 days)
  • Many nationalities qualify for visa-free entry (up to 90 days)

Useful Tips

Currency

Korean Won (KRW). Cards widely accepted. ATMs at airports and convenience stores.

Language

English is commonly understood in tourist areas and hospitals. Signage is bilingual.

SIM / Wi-Fi

SIM cards and portable Wi-Fi available at the airport arrivals area.

Power

Type C / F outlets, 220V. Bring an adapter if needed. Hotels often provide universal outlets.

Weather: Korea has four distinct seasons. Summers (Jun–Aug) are hot and humid; winters (Dec–Feb) are cold and dry. Spring and autumn are the most comfortable times to visit.
