FAQ

Frequently Asked
Questions

Will I practice hands-on on real patients? +

Yes. The 1:1 program is not an observation-only course — you work directly on live patients in a real clinical setting, with an OLA Korea faculty member right beside you guiding every step.

Do I need a Korean medical license to train in Korea? +

No Korean license is required. You need a valid medical or injector license from your home country — MD/DO, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Registered Nurse with injector certification, Dentist/Oral Surgeon, or equivalent. The SMAS Facelift & Surgical Lifting specialty track is open to surgeons only.

Can I complete 1:1 training in a single day? +

Yes. Scheduling is flexible — many visiting practitioners complete a focused 1:1 module in one day, and multiple modules can be combined across two or more days to fit your travel plans.

What if English is not my first language? +

All sessions are conducted in English, and we use a real-time translation app during hands-on training so nothing important is lost. You are also welcome to bring your own interpreter.

Can the curriculum be customized to my goals? +

Yes. Before your training we review your background and learning objectives in a consultation, then tailor the module content, case focus, and pace to your practice.

Can I train in Busan while staying in Seoul? +

Yes. A same-day round trip is easy by KTX/SRT train or a short flight, and English booking is available. See our Visit guide at olakorea.com/visit. Optional clinic tours at faculty partner clinics in Seoul can also be arranged.
